You should take some safety precautions before cleaning your MacBook screen. The destroyed anti-reflective coating will leave a haze on your screen and will be beyond repair. This coating can easily be destroyed with corrosive cleaners such as hydrogen peroxide.
Corrosive cleaners: Many Mac products come with an anti-reflective coating on their screens. Excessive moisture can easily get inside the electronics and damage them. Excessive moisture: Whether you’re using distilled water, or a cleaning solution to remove the grime from your MacBook, you should never put it directly on the display. Paper towels and toilet paper are also considered abrasive and shouldn’t be used to clean Apple displays.
